Certified Energy Raters

Infrared Solutions provides independent, third-party certified energy raters that work with builders to measure the energy efficiency of construction projects. Local owners, Jim and Kathy Moore have performed commercial and industrial infrared inspections since 2005 and residential inspections since 2009.

For new projects, Infrared Solutions inspects during construction and upon completion using performance testing to measure air infiltration and duct leakage. Infrared Solutions can verify if a home is Energy Star qualified as well as 2009 Energy Code compliant. For existing homes, Infrared Solutions can perform an energy audit to test and improve energy efficiency. Using an infrared camera and other diagnostic equipment, the company indentifies missing insulation, leaks in ductwork, water damage and other cold or hot spots. Homes within the Oncor service area are eligible for rebates to help offset the cost of weatherization improvements, and as an Oncor-approved rater, Kathy can help with that process. Infrared Solutions advocates energy-efficient construction practices to provide customers with a comfortable and cost-effective lifestyle.
