Father and son, Jerry and Jason Niemeier created Doc’s on Main to provide the McGregor area with a restaurant that serves an affordable, quality steak and while providing a good time. Opening September 2009, Doc’s offers family-friendly dining in its restaurant as well as a place to relax with friends, listen to music or watch the game in its adjacent saloon or on its large outdoor patio.

Chef and general manager, David Beggs spent more than 30 years in Indiana’s steakhouse and bar industry before moving to Waco in 2003. Chef David and Doc’s offer a refreshingly classic approach to Texas cuisine. At lunchtime, Doc’s serves good, traditional home-cooked meals such as meatloaf, casseroles and chicken fried steak. Its dinner menu offers choice cuts of beef as well as chopped steak, grilled salmon and deep-fried catfish.
