Lake Shore Baptist Church is a progressive community of Christians attempting to discover, articulate and embody the meaning of the Gospel in the world today. It welcomes the deepest questions and understands that faith is about the journey, not the destination. Grounded in Christian tradition, Lake Shore seeks to worship and serve with its heart, soul and mind. Worship finds its rhythm in the liturgical seasons from Advent through Pentecost. Because Lake Shore believes in Jesus’ call to advocate for the poor and hungry, it cares for the Waco and global community as its neighbors. “We take the Gospel, but not ourselves, very seriously,” said one member. Another said, “I always leave worship re-energized by the music, preaching, silence and communion, and my world is brought back into perspective.” Lake Shore Baptist Church — seeking to live out God’s love in reflection and action.
